NILES AGENCY HOLDS REGISTRATION: Niles Community Services Inc. is holding registration for its annual toy and food program for residents of the Niles, McDonald and Mineral Ridge. Registration is from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday to Friday and Monday at the office, 401 Vienna Ave. Extended hours will be held 1:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. Applicants should bring photo identification, residency verification, proof of income, medical cards and a current utility bill.
COIN CLEANUP: The Oh Wow! Roger and Gloria Jones Children's Center for Science and Technology will host a coin cleanup from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. today and Thursday at the center, where cleaner will be used on dirty coins, especially pennies. Today's event is for children in fifth to eighth grades and kindergarten to fourth on Thursday. Both events are free.
IMPROVE HEALTH ON ELECTION DAY: Liberty Health Care Center Windsor House, 1355 Churchill Hubbard Road, will hold an Election Day health fair from 1 to 3 p.m. today in the new short-term rehabilitation unit. The event includes free blood pressure checks, health screenings and tours of the unit.
ROTARY HOLDS AUCTION: The 57th annual Hubbard Rotary Auction will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Brentford House, 737 Myron St. Doors open at 5 p.m. The event includes a bake sale and 50-50 drawing.

FAMILY FUN NIGHT PLANNED: Students who mostly know their teachers and classmates through a computer will come together face-to-face at a special event at 5 p.m. Wednesday as part of the Electronic Classroom of Tomorrow Family Fun Night at the Magnuson Grand Hotel, Howland. ECOT is an online school for kids in kindergarten to 12th grade. Students learn at home and attend virtual classrooms through their computer. Activities will include games, prize raffles, arts and crafts and educational activities led by teachers and administrators. Some 327 Trumbull County students attend ECOT.
