NILES - Esther Marie Bako, 77, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at Lake Vista Care Center following a lengthy illness.
She was born Dec. 6, 1934, in Kittanning, Pa., the daughter of Victor and Anna Deluca Demeglio.
She had worked for Niles schools and was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Niles.

Survivors include her husband, Edward T. Bako; a son, Nicholas of Niles; a daughter, Susan Lawrence of Cortland; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Bako.
A family gathering will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. Thursday at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home in Warren.
