In August, Frank and Norma Sloat of Warren celebrated their 60th anniversary, which was Nov. 1, 2012, with family and friends at the Lodge at Geneva on the Lake. On Oct. 27, they were honored at a dinner at the Olive Garden Restaurant.
Mr. Sloat and the former Norma Jean Guliuzza were married Nov. 1, 1952, in Marion.
They have two daughters, Kim McLeod of Warren and Tarey (Dan) Balash of Mineral Ridge; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Sloat served in the Korean War. He retired from Trane Heating and Cooling in September of 1989.
Mrs. Sloat is a homemaker.
They are members of the Ohltown United Methodist Church. They enjoy family and working in their church.
