DEAR EDITOR:
''Think you have heard everything? I work at the Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna. For several years we have been a collection location for the Marines' annual Toys for Tots campaign.
Recently, the man handling this area had us photocopy his personal ID, and gave us explicit instructions to release the donations to him only. Seems some unscrupulous individuals have gone into collection sites to empty the boxes, and they were stealing the contents.
It's hard to believe that times are so tough it makes someone think it's OK to take toys designated for underprivileged kids. It's bad enough we see theft in our cemetery and items taken from graves, but stealing a kid's Christmas toy is truly despicable.
Lord help us all if this is what our society has come to.
