WARREN - James Lloyd Boger, 76, died peacefully Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012.
He was born April 26, 1936, in Warren, the son of the late Ellis H. and the late Eunice Ceccerali Boger.
James was a 1954 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and worked at Republic Steel for 38 years as a millright, retiring in 1993.

He was past president of the union Local 1338, and was a member of the Westside Maple Leaf Club as well as co-owner of the Army Navy 426.
He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns, Indians and Ohio State. He also loved to go fishing.
He is survived by a son, Kenneth R. Boger of Warren; a daughter, Cheryl A. Stark of Warren; a brother, David L. (CeCe) Boger of La Quinta, Calif.; four grandchildren, Bruce, Kari, Rochelle and Ciara; and three great-grandchildren.
His wife, Betty J. Chewning Boger, whom he married April 6, 1957, preceded him in death on March 31, 2005. He was also preceded by his son, James A. "Tiny" Boger.
The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Shafer-Winans Funeral Chapel in Cortland. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery in Cortland.
