CAMPBELL - Arrilous Beachman Sr., 89, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
He was born July 29, 1923, in Louisville, Ala., the son of Victoria Helms and Johnny Calhoun Beachman.
Mr. Beachman was a member of the U.S. Navy, and received the Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal and Medal of Honor.

He retired from Youngstown Sheet and Tube as a steelworker.
Survivors include his wife, Ollie J. White Beachman; three daughters, Hazel Howell of Michigan, and Geraldean Lomax and Sylvia Nelms of Youngstown; three sons, Arrilous Jr. of Youngstown, Leon of Alamogordo, N.M., and Melvin of Campbell; a brother, David of Dothan, Ala.; 12 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, two sisters, a granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Shiloh Baptist Church, where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. The family will also receive friends one hour prior to services Friday at the church.
Interment will be in Tod Homestead Cemetery.
