YOUNGSTOWN - Vice President Joe Biden is speaking at the Covelli Centre.
Biden follows former President Bill Clinton at a rally to re-elect President Barack Obama and himself to another four years.
Earlier, U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan gave an impassioned speech urging the crowd to help deliver Ohio for the incumbent commander-in-chief, likening the race to a football game in which the Democrat is on "the 10-yard-line," and driving to the end zone.
The afternoon kicked off with Harry Meshel, a former state senator and World War II veteran leading the crowd in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Obama was scheduled to be at the arena, but is in Washington, D.C., ahead of Hurricane Sandy.
The attendance was estimated at 4,800.
