MASURY - Dominic J. Amato Sr., 81, of Brookfield, died at 6:50 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, in O'Briens Memorial Health Care Center, Masury, following an extended illness.
Mr. Amato was born May 1, 1931, in Meadville, Pa., the son of Sylvester and Elizabeth Galle Amato.
He had worked in both Hubbard and Warren for General Motors Delphi Packard Electric Corporation where he was a supervisor.

He was a member of the Church of the Sacred Heart, Sharon.
A decorated Korean War veteran, he was honorably discharged from the United States Navy in 1956.
He is survived by his wife, the former Dolores J. Conti of Brookfield; children, Cheryl A. Hrusovsky of Lake Forest, Ill., Denise M. Amato of Northampton, Mass., Robin L. Linhart of Hermitage, Pa., Dominic J. Amato Jr. of Neshannock Pa., and Karen Mistovich of Hadley, Mass.; brothers, John Amato of Meadville, Frank Amato of Greenville, Richard Amato of Pleasant Hills, Pa.; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Anthony Amato, and a brother.
Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., Sharon, Pa.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Sharon. A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday for the church.
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hermitage, Pa.
