WARREN - Wendell L. Orr, 99, formerly of Warren, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at Laurie Ann Nursing Home.
He was born Jan. 27, 1913, in Ossian, Ind., the son of the late Amber and Ellen Lesh Orr.
He married Evelyn M. Brown May 10, 1947, and she preceded him in death on Feb. 8, 2000.

Wendell was honorably discharged from the Army Air Force, having served in World War II.
He was employed at Packard Electric for 43 years as a tinsmith and retired in 1982.
He was a member of Howland Community Church, and was a member of the 384 Bomb Group Inc. 8th Air Force.
Survivors include his son, Donald C. Orr of Warren; daughters, Linda M. Reed of Warren and Nancy A. (Gary) Christman of Ravenna; grandchildren, Shawn Reed of Champion and Robyn (Larry) McKenzie of Ravenna; and great-grandchildren, Peyton and Lane McKenzie.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evelyn; brothers, Jimmy and Malcolm; and sisters, Donna Apger and Martha Frey.
Calling hours will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, and the funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Steve Spurlock officiating.
Burial will take place at Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna.
