YOUNGSTOWN - Mahoning County commissioners agreed today to begin the process for creating a race track/casino in Austintown.
Commissioners passed a resolution to begin the proceedings for vacating a portion of Lanterman Road that the developers of the project need.
Marilyn Kenner of the county's engineers office said a public viewing of the property must be held first and then a public hearing before commissioners, who will decide if the road should be vacated.
