HOWLAND - Clara Bernice Garner, 87, died at 5:45 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at her home.
She was born July 13, 1925, in Windham, the daughter of Andrew E. and Aurie Dell Gordon.
Clara was a homemaker.

Clara is survived by one son, James R. Garner Sr. of Howland; two daughters, Jean L. Smith and Joan D. Roach, both of Howland; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Ray Garner Jr.; three sisters; and two brothers.
Per Clara's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services, and cremation will be held.
Burial will be at Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna.
Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel, handled the arrangements.
