BOARDMAN - Carl C. Blackson, 87, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at Beeghly Oaks Skilled Nursing Center.
He was born Nov. 3, 1924, in Fredonia, Pa., the son of Theodore and Bessie Mickey Blackson.
Carl worked at the Blackson weekly auction in Mercer, Pa., and was a school bus driver. He was a member of the Simon Road Church of God.

Survivors include his wife, the former Lois E. Trezona; four children, Elizabeth F. Tell of Pittsburgh, Jean E. Ringer of Mercer, Rick C. Blackson of Canfield and Gary J. Blackson of New Springfield; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Carl was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
There will be funeral services 11 a.m. Thursday at Simon Road Church of God, Boardman.
Family and friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Thompson Funeral Home, Boardman, and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
