WARREN - Margaret C. Chalker, 78, was transferred to the Church Triumphant at 6:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at the Washington Square Nursing Home in Warren.
Marge was born on June 12, 1934, in Kenosha, Wis., the daughter of H. Wayne and Dorothea T. Tucker Gibson Sr.
She moved to Warren in January of 1943, staying a lifelong resident of the area and graduating from Warren G. Harding in 1952.

She was employed by the Thomas Steel Corp. for many years and, after leaving to begin her family, she and a close group of co-workers and friends formed a "girls club," which has met regularly for the past 50 years.
Marge was a 50-plus member of the First Presbyterian Church of Warren, where she was a member of the Navigators, was a Stephen Minister and served terms on the Board of Deacons.
She was an avid reader and bird watcher, who loved all nature, and enjoyed cross-stitching.
She is survived by her children, a daughter, Ruth Rambissoon of Ocoee, Fla., and a son, Charles W. Chalker of Howland. She also leaves her beloved stepmother, Sally G. Bidlack of Cortland; seven brothers and sisters, H. Wayne Gibson of Edisto Island, S.C., Patricia Stein of Cortland, Kathryn Barbour of San Francisco, Janie Mackey of Salem, Gary Gibson of Howland, James Gibson of Apex, N.C., and Susan Quinn of Athens, Ohio; as well as many nieces and nephews; two grandchildren, Amanda (Andy) Westfall and Joshua (Paula) Kerr; and a great-grandson, Liam Kerr.
Marge was preceded in death by her brother, David Gibson.
A memorial to celebrate her life will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church, 256 Mahoning Ave., Warren, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. Officiating will be the Rev. Rusty Cowden. Marge's final resting place will be the columbarium at the First Presbyterian Church in Warren.
