COLUMBUS, Kan. - Harlan Irwin Gilbert, 71, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at his home in Columbus, Kan.
He was born Aug. 23, 1941, in Warren, the son of Harlan and Anna Gilbert.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Souders, at home; his sister, Sue Lindgren of Warren; his children, Melissa Estle of Columbus, Tim Gilbert of Chetopa and Rebecca Helms of Pittsburgh; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two grandchildren.
His family will be celebrating his life 11 a.m. today at Church of the Nazarene in Columbus.
Arrangements are under the direction of Midland Cremation Society, Joplin, Mo.
