CANFIELD - Josephine Schewirey Virgalitte, 89, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012.
She was born June 16, 1923, in Youngstown, the daughter of Harvey and Nora Dummar Schewirey.
Josephine retired as a teacher from Newton Falls School System and was a member of St. Michael Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Michele Virgalitte of College Station, Texas, and one granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell ''Mike'' Virgalitte; a son, Michael Virgalitte; four brothers George, Fred, Harvey and Bob Schewirey; and a sister, Rose Marie Houck.
Family and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to 10:25 p.m. Friday at St. Michael Church, Canfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church.
Burial will take place at Green Haven Memorial Gardens, Canfield.
Arrangements were handled by Rossi and Santucci Funeral Home.
