LIBERTY - John A. Pearson, 91, died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, at Park Vista.
He was born April 3, 1921, in Coal Hollow, Pa., the son of Rudolph and Johannah Hedlund Pearson.
John was a carpenter and a World War II U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include one son, Kevin Pearson of Girard; two daughters, Kathleen Rotar of Vienna and Annette Weimer of Liberty; one brother, Rudolph Pearson of Kersey, Pa.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lois Pearson, and a son, John J. Pearson.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at McClurkin Funeral Home. There will be a private burial Monday at Calvary Cemetery.
