GIRARD - Mary Ellen Maholtz, 71, passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at University Hospital, Cleveland.
Mary Ellen was born Feb. 15, 1941, in Youngstown, the daughter of Paul J. and Marjorie Duffy Maholtz Sr.
She was a graduate of Ursuline High School. She was employed by the FBI in Washington, D.C., in the office. She was an instructor for new employees; she later worked for Niles Expanded Metals, Liberty Mutual Insurance, St. Rose Church and Plaza Donuts Niles.

Mary Ellen was a member of St. Rose Church and Trumbull County Retired Insurance Women.
She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Esposito of Warren; three brothers, Paul J. Maholtz Jr. of Lordstown, Charles (Monica) Maholtz of Poland and Michael (Elaine) Maholtz of Ellenton, Fla.; two sisters-in-law, Sylvia Maholtz of Niles and Nancy Maholtz of East Palestine; eight nieces and nephews; nine great-nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Annie.
Mary Ellen is preceded in death by her brother, John Maholtz; and a brother-in-law, Guy Esposito.
Her funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Rose Church in Girard. There will be prayers at 10 a.m. Saturday at McClurkin Funeral Home prior to the church Mass.
Mary Ellen's family will receive family and friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at McClurkin Funeral Home.
Her family requests the memorial contributions be made to St. Rose Church in her name.
