GIRARD - Donald R. Houck, 91, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
Don was born July 9, 1921, in Kittanning, Pa., the son of Amos and Ethel Glenn Houck.
He retired from U.S. Steel and was a World War II U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church of McDonald.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen O'Connor; two sons, David and Donald of McDonald; one daughter, Karen Houck of Houston; three brothers, Jack of Cortland, Fred of Florida and Robert of Pennsylvania; four sisters, Virginia Culp of California, Florence Houck of Florida, Elsie Race of Pennsylvania and Edith Riggelman of Girard; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister and brother.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at McClurkin Funeral Home in Girard. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, where there will be viewing one half hour prior to services.
