LOWELLVILLE - Walter L. "Chip" Wilfong, 55, of 1941 Read St., departed this life at 11:55 a.m. Oct. 9, 2012, at Humility of Mary Hospice House, Poland.
Mr. Wilfong was born Feb. 8, 1957, in Youngstown, the son of Walter Lee Wilfong Sr. and Mildred Popovich.
He was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, class of 1975, he also attended Youngstown State University for two years.

He was employed at Delphi Electric for 12 years, as an inspector, retiring in 2006.
He married Mariann Mitchell on Nov. 8, 1980, she survives at home. He leaves his daughter, Jennifer Marie Wilfong, at home; his son, Christopher (Bryanna) Wilfong of Streetsboro; his mother, Mildred Wilfong of Boardman; his sister, Michelle (Andrew) Basile of Boardman; his brother, Charles (Shawne) Wilfong of Austintown; and nieces and nephews.
Mr. Wilfong was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father, Walter L. Wilfong Sr.
Calling hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Rossi Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave., Youngstown, OH. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
