FOWLER - Peter J. Harrison Jr., 64, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at his home.
Pete was born in Youngstown on Nov. 8, 1947, the son of Peter J. and Rosenia Watson Harrison.
He attended both Fowler and Matthews Schools and would go on to work for Shafer Drop Forge and GM Lordstown, where he worked on the assembly line for more than 17 years. He last worked at the former Red Barn Ceramics in Fowler.

Uncle Pete, as he was affectionately known by many, had enjoyed taking trips camping and traveling road trips on the back roads seeing the countryside.
He is survived by his fiancee and caretaker, Leighann Cole of Fowler; three children, Kelly Young, Mark Harrison and Joseph E. Harrison; three sisters, Jean H. Sayers of Vienna, Anna Mae (Marvin) Ockenfels and Gertrude (Melvin) Bragg, all of Fowler, as well as six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Pete was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Harrison; his parents; his brother, Edward C. Harrison; and his sister, Mary L. Macias.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Shafer-Winans Chapel of Lane Family Funeral Homes in Cortland. A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Jim Dittmar of Warren Baptist Temple officiating.
