SALISBURY, N.C. - Sara Jane Green Wagner, 88, formerly of Niles, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.
She was born Jan. 20, 1924, in Girard, the daughter of William and Sarah Leetch Green.
Sara was a 1942 Girard High School graduate, and was employed as a secretary at U.S. Steel McDonald Works.

She was a member of Assembly of God Church in Niles and McDonald Baptist Church.
She enjoyed crochet, ceramics and flower gardening.
Her husband Enoch Evinsky, whom she married in 1945, passed away March 3, 1949. Her husband Earl Wagner, whom she married in 1950, passed away in 1983.
She will be deeply missed by two sons, Michael Evinsky of Lavonia, Ga., and Earl J. (Sherry) Wagner Sr. of Niles; two daughters, Emma (Charles) Goff of Salisbury and Rebecca Husk of Niles; a brother, Harry Joseph (Marie) Schaffer of Rotunda, Fla.; 11 grandchildren, Enoch Evinsky III, Michael Earl Evinsky, Sarah Evinsky, Earl Joseph Wagner, Anntoinette Evinsky, Jeffrey Allen Husk, Richelle Wheatcroft, Chrystal Ciarniello, R. Shane Wheatcroft, Mandie Turner and Charles D.L. Goff; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Anthony Evinsky and Enoch Evinsky II; two infant children; and a grandson, Jason Husk.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Pastor Michael Setzer officiating.
Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery.
