NILES - Gerald A. Burton, 38, died at 8:35 a.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at the St. Joseph Health Center following a apparent heart attack.
Gerald was born March 10, 1974, in Louisville, Ky., the son of Terry and Lola M. Heuser Burton.
He was a self-employed handyman.

Survivors include his parents; his fiancee, Angella Mahan of Warren; a daughter, Sara Bailey of Louisville, Ky.; and sisters, Kathy Murphy, Michelle Poland, Sherry Layton and Valerie Burton, all of Louisville, Ky.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather.
The family will receive friends from noon to 6 p.m. Oct. 13, 2012, at 322 Smith St., Niles.
