Police to train citizens

POLICE ACADEMY STARTS PROGRAM: The Warren Police Department will resume its Citizen's Police Awareness Academy in November. The eight-week classes are designed to give citizens an inside view of the day-to-day operations of the police department. Classes are held once a week at the Warren Police Department Roll Call Room. Material covered will include Fourth Amendment rights, use of deadly force, crime prevention techniques, FATS shooting and police ride-alongs. Applications are available to Warren city residents at the police station, 141 South St., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m or on the City of Warren's website, Call Geoff at 330-841-2788.
