GREENSBORO, N.C. - Heather Justine Balas, 24, passed away peacefully Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at her residence in Greensboro, N.C. A cause of death is pending.
Heather was born Jan. 5, 1988, in Warren, the daughter of Michael ''Mick'' Balas and Kimberly Renee Balas.
She attended Warren G. Harding High School.

Heather was a stay-at-home mom. She enjoyed camping, music, shopping with her stepmother, helping her ''Daddy,'' and spending time with her three children, brothers and many friends.
Survivors include her ''Daddy'' and ''Mom,'' Mick Balas and Kimberly Sue Balas of Greensboro, N.C. (with whom she resided); three sons, Braylen Bumbico and Caiden Harris of Greensboro, N.C., and Leonard Bumbico of Warren; two brothers, Anthony Hrusovsky of Los Angeles and Michael Balas Jr. of Greensboro, N.C.; grandparents, Andrew and Sandra Balas of Warren, and Bud and Judi Velenski of Florida; a great-grandmother, Marjorie Potts of Warren; three uncles, Andy (Jen) Balas of St. Louis, Randy (Theresa) Balas of Streetsboro and Ronnie (Jean) Balas Sr. of Warren; along with many cousins.
She was preceded in death by two aunts, Michelle Kline and Monica Walley.
There will be no formal service or calling hours. As Heather wished, cremation has taken place.
There will be a private, invitation only, celebration of Heather's life on Sept. 29 in Warren. Invitations will be sent.
Anyone wishing to send flowers, please send them to the address on the invitation. They will be on display that day.
