WEATHERSFIELD - Troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating a fatal vehicle accident in Weathersfield.
The crash occurred about 6 p.m. today on West Liberty Street between Salt Springs Road and Four Mile Run Road in front of the Checkered Express Truck and Trailer Repair.
A empty pickup truck parked alongside the road was hit head on by a Chevy Malibu, troopers said. Witnesses said the driver of the Malibu was slumped over the steering wheel as he came over the hill.
Troopers said the Malibu hit a guardrail and then struck the pickup at a high rate of speed.
Troopers believe the driver of the Malibu may have had a medical episode prior to the crash, reports indicate.
