CHAMPION - Julia F. Zek, 87, died Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at St. Joseph Health Center.
She was born July 20, 1925, in Little Washington, Pa., the daughter of James and Mary Spala Ziemba.
Julia was a member of Blessed John Paul II Catholic Church and retired from St. Joseph Hospital.

Survivors include a son, Jim Zek of Columbus; two daughters, Catherine A. Bansky of Champion and Suzie Flowers of Twin Lakes, Mich.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home, where calling hours will be one hour prior to services.
Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery.
