CORTLAND - Wilda V. "Di" Dellimuti, 83, died at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, at Lake Vista in Cortland.
She was born Jan. 31, 1929, in Clarington, the daughter of the late Henry E. and Bessie May Springer.
Wilda was a 1947 graduate of Hannibal High School and a graduate of cosmetology school in Canton.
She came to Warren in 1970 from Florida after eight years. Wilda retired in 1991 from Ohio Lamp Division of GE as a Celax operator after 21 years.
She attended church regularly at the Lake Vista Chapel in Cortland.
She was a member of the Ohio Lamp 20-Year Club and Civitellesi Club. She enjoyed sewing, photography, cooking, traveling and music.
Di was very kind and caring. Her generosity and thoughtfulness will always be remembered by her family and friends. Her outgoing personality and great smile were a gift to all. She was a wonderful sister, aunt and grandmother. She loved life! She will be missed.
Her husband, Louis G. Dellimuti, whom she married on Sept. 8, 1974, preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 2004.
Survivors include two stepsons, Robert L. (Dorothy) Dellimuti Sr. of Howland and Louis G. (Diane) Dellimuti Jr. of Niles; two sisters, Eunice "Eunie" (Carroll) McAllister of Cortland and Oetia "Eydie" (James) Restuccio of Hubbard; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, Wilbur F. Springer.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, officiated by Pastor Duane Jesse. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and one-half hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Pineview Memorial Park, Warren.
