WARREN - Avalon Lavin, 88, formerly of Girard, died Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
She was born Sept. 17, 1923, in Uhrichsville, the daughter of Clifford and Mabel Witsaman Williams.
Avalon retired from Nickel's Bakery.
She is survived by her son, John M. Schuller of Lordstown; sister, Shirley Fisher of Girard; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband, James Lavin; and a brother.
A funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday at Girard City Cemetery Chapel.
Arrangements were entrusted to Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard.
