Thu. 4:07pm: Emergency lines expected back about 5 p.m.

September 13, 2012
Tribune Chronicle |

Trumbull County 911 director Ernie Cook says the service should be restored about 5 p.m. after a glitch with CenturyLinks fiber optic lines earlier today.

Cook said workers at a bridge project in Akron bored into the ground and hit one of the company's major fiber optic lines, causing a statewide problem.

Residents who need emergency assistance are asked to call 330-675-2730.

Warren residents should call 330-841-2512.
