Trumbull County 911 director Ernie Cook says the service should be restored about 5 p.m. after a glitch with CenturyLinks fiber optic lines earlier today.
Cook said workers at a bridge project in Akron bored into the ground and hit one of the company's major fiber optic lines, causing a statewide problem.
