FOWLER - Ruth B. Jones, 93, passed away Tuesday morning, Sept. 4, 2012, at her home.
She was born Feb. 26, 1919, in West Middlesex, Pa., the daughter of Charles and Velva Barker Brown.
Ruth retired from Packard Electric in 1975 after working 16 years as a stationary board worker. She belonged to Hartford Community Church, where she enjoyed quilting for many years. Ruth enjoyed doing crafts and being with her family.
She married Kenneth E. Jones on Oct. 31, 1938. He preceded her in death on March 12, 2011.
She is survived by two daughters, Velva (William) Clupper of Johnston and Nancy Poltar of Hartford; a son, Ron (Linda) Jones of Vienna; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Wade, Frank and Gene Brown; and a granddaughter, Lori Williams-Ott.
Friends and relatives may call from 11 a.m. to noon Friday at Hartford Community Church, 3312 state Route 7, Hartford. The funeral service will follow at noon at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made in Ruth's name to either Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Youngstown, OH 44512, or to the memorial fund of the Hartford Community Church, P.O. Box 38, Hartford, OH 44424.
