MIDDLEFIELD - James E. Stewart, 68, died Friday as a result of a car accident.
He was born March 28, 1944, in Geneva, to Hiram and Doris Redding Stewart.
Jim was a self-employed plumber and heating contractor. He was a member of the Mesopotamia United Methodist Church.
He is survived by a son, Scott Stewart of Orlando, Fla.; two grandchildren; four nieces; and numerous great-nieces and nephews; his brother Donald Stewart of North Dakota; and sisters, Janet Stewart of Georgia and Joyce Hartstock of Rome, Ohio.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Russell Funeral Service, Middlefield.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Mesopotamia United Methodist Church, Mesopotamia.
Burial will be in the Arcola Cemetery, Madison.
