GIRARD - James E. Oldfield, 70, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at Hospice of the Valley Hospice House in Poland.
He was born on Feb. 23, 1942, in Akron, the son of Vincent and Marion Price Oldfield.
He served with the U.S. Navy and retired from General Motors Corp. Lordstown Complex.
Jim is survived by his wife, Shirley Laughlin; his children, Deborrah Reiss, Gregg Oldfield, Dawn Enix, Randy Frye, Becky Cool, Barbara Studebaker and Billie Jo Frye; his 17 grandchildren; his many great-grandchildren; and his sister, Joyce Lewis.
Interment will be in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
Arrangements for James were entrusted to the Borowski Funeral Service and Oak Meadow Cremation Services.
