DelGarbino 60th

Mr. and Mrs. Guido DelGarbino of Warren celebrated their 60th anniversary on July 8, 2012, with a Mass at St. Mary's Church, Warren, with the Rev. Bernard Schmalzried as celebrant. The Rev. Charles Crumbley concelebrated.

The Mass was followed by a dinner at the Saratoga Restaurant hosted by the couple's children, Doreen (Raymond) Vitullo, Karen (Mark) Cherol, Mark (Amy) DelGarbino and Terry DeGarbino. They also have eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. DelGarbino and the former Rosemary Fellows were married July 5, 1952, at St. Mary's Church in Warren. The Rev Blaine Pierce officiated.

Mr. DelGarbino retired from Warren City Schools after 31 years as an elementary school teacher and principal. He also worked for 13 years in parochial schools, most of that time as teacher / director of the St. James School (Latchkey) After School program that he founded in 1991.

Mrs. DelGarbino retired in 1993 from the Second National Bank where she worked in the bookkeeping department. She previously worked as the youth secretary at the YMCA and is a 33-year Avon representative.

The couple keep active attending concerts and sporting events of their children and grandchildren, bird watching and feeding, dancing and listening to their favorite big bands.

Mrs. DelGarbino is a 35-year member of the Warren Civic Chorus. Mr. DeGarbino is a life member of both Ohio and Trumbull Retired Teachers Associations. They are members of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton (St. James) Catholic Church.

The couple renewed their wedding vows at the anniversary couples' Mass at St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown on June 24, 2012. Bishop George V. Murry was the celebrant.
