August 31, 2012
Tribune Chronicle | TribToday.com

LORDSTOWN - While there is no sign of Vice President Joe Biden yet, the crowd at the UAW 1714 union hall is filled with local notables.

Among the attendees sitting on the riser behind the podium are state Rep. Sean O'Brien, D-Brookfield and all three Trumbull County commissioners. State Sen. Capri Cafaro, D-Hubbard, state Rep. Tom Letson, D-Warren, and Warren Mayor Doug Franklin are on hand as well.

Village Mayor Arno Hill - a Republican - also was in the crowd.

Former 1714 president James Kaster lead the hall in the "Pledge Of Allegiance," and the Rev. Lewis Macklin gave the invocation.

The vice president will discuss the choice voters have in this election, "a choice between these two fundamentally different visions of how to grow the economy, create middle-class jobs and pay down the debt."

Check back for updates.
