DOVER - Olivette A. Brooks, 88, formerly of Roseville, died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, at her daughter's residence.
She was born Feb. 29, 1924, in Port Henry, N.Y., the daughter of John Frances and Grace Edwards Hickey.
Olivette had been employed with General Electric in Schenectady, N.Y.

Survivors include three children, Harold Brooks and Russell Brooks, both of Blue Rock, and Karen Napier of Dover; a stepdaughter, Ann Louise Taylor of Nova Scotia; two brothers, William Hickey of Port Henry and John Hickey of Sterling Heights, Mich.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell L. Brooks; a grandson, Chad Cox; two sisters; and two brothers.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Otterbein United Methodist Church in New Philadelphia.
Inurnment will be held in Kerr Cemetery at Mineral Ridge at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home in New Philadelphia.
