WARREN - Charles L. Recser Jr., 75, entered peacefully into eternal rest at 10:24 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, at the Cleveland Clinic following a one-year illness.
Charles was born April 28, 1937, in Warren, the son of the late Charles L. and Mary Dudek Recser Sr., and was a lifelong area resident.
He was an insurance agent with GE Capital in Warren since 1983, and was a longtime member of Queen of the Holy Rosary Church in Vienna.

Charles was a 1955 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and was a lifetime member of the YMCA. He enjoyed playing handball and racquetball for more than 30 years and was an avid Cleveland sports fan. Charles also enjoyed golfing and traveling around the world with his wife and family, and faithfully served his country in the United States Army.
On June 24, 1961, Charles was united into marriage with the former Georgeann Stefanic and had shared 51 years together.
His memories will be remembered and cherished by those he leaves behind, his wife, Georgeann Recser; sons, Charles D. Recser of Howland, Mark A. Recser of Howland and Michael P. (Amy) Recser of Clayton, N.C.; daughters, Kimberly L. Recser of Raleigh, N.C., Sharon M. Recser of Howland and Barbara M. (Mark) DiDomenico of Chagrin Falls; and seven grandchildren, Brittany Danielson, Jessica Moyer, Paulo Recser, Justin Recser, Abby Recser, Gia DiDomenico and CeCe Recser.
He was preceded by his parents.
A funeral Mass will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Queen of the Holy Rosary Church in Vienna. Visitation hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Staton-Borowski Funeral Home in Warren, where a rosary service will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Denis Bouchard.
Burial will follow in Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna.
