MINERAL RIDGE - Charlotte Jean Sweeney, 88, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, in the home of her daughter.
She was born Jan. 7, 1924, in Ohltown, the daughter of Wilson and Lena Neff Matthews.
She worked at Beuchner Hall at Youngstown State University, and was a member of the Ohltown United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her children, Claudia Hoover of Fowler, Karen Carroll and Peggy Murray, both of Austintown, Gary Sweeney of Hanoverton and Tim Sweeney of New Castle, Pa.; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at the Lane Family Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel. Friends may call an hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Four Mile Run Cemetery.
