HUBBARD - Violet J. Popa, 83, died Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, in Sharon Regional Health System.
She was born Jan. 4, 1929, in Hubbard, the daughter of Michael and Susan Vargo.
She retired as a manager for Hubbard Local Schools, working in the Reed Middle School cafeteria, and was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Hubbard.

Survivors include her husband, Albert T. Popa; a son, Thomas A. Popa of Springfield; a daughter, Diane Rankin of Masury; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased are four brothers and two sisters.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church of Hubbard. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home and an hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church.
Burial will be in Hubbard Union Cemetery.
