HOWLAND - Robert W. Boyd, 72, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren.
He was born July 8, 1940, in Warren, the son of William W. Sr. and Rose Grimshaw Boyd, and had lived in Trumbull County all his life.
Mr. Boyd graduated from Howland High School and studied electronics at ITT Tech.

He worked for 40 years as a packer at Delphi Packard, retiring in 2003.
A member of the National Rifle Association, the Farm Bureau and AARP, he had been very active in local efforts for Relay for Life.
He enjoyed garage sales, TV wrestling, electronic games, the stock market and tending to family vineyards in North East, Pa.
Surviving are his twin sister, Roselyn (Roger) Carnahan of Girard; a sister-in-law, Peggy Boyd of Howland; two nieces, Cheryl L. (Ronald) Grace of Cincinnati and Karen R. (Jim) Miller of Tennessee; six nephews, Alan B. (Lisa) Carnahan of Boardman, Douglas E. Carnahan of Liberty, James R. (Heather) Carnahan of Elyria, Roger W. Boyd of West Virginia, Donald C. Boyd of Mineral Ridge and David W. Boyd of Howland; seven great-nieces, Allyson, Emily and Elizabeth Rose Carnahan, Chloe and Tiffany Boyd, and Erin and Katie Grace; and eight great-nephews, Zachary, Alex and Thaddeus Carnahan, Anthony L. and Anthony J. Boyd, Jonathan Milner, and Matthew and Adam Grace; and his special friend, Eleanor Guerrero of Warren.
His brother, William W. Boyd Jr., preceded him in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Christ Episcopal Church, 2627 Atlantic St. N.E., Warren, with the Rev. Jeffrey Baker officiating.
Interment will follow at Howland Township Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at McFarland & Son Funeral Home and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
