WARREN - Helen Pawcio, 86, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, at Laurie Ann Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
Helen was born July 2, 1926, in McKeesrock, Pa., the daughter of Frank and Anna Fedsyn Gognaik.
She worked briefly at Ohio Lamp Co., but best loved her role as a homemaker. Helen enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, baking, shopping, politics and caring for her pets.

Helen was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church.
Helen's husband, John A. Pawcio Sr., whom she married Oct. 27, 1945, passed away Sept. 11, 1990.
Helen leaves her loving family, two sons, John A. (Sandy) Pawcio Jr. of Reno, Nev., and Nick Pawcio of Warren; three grandchildren, Melissa (Mark) Crissman of Leavittsburg, Nick (Shira) Pawcio of Newton Falls and Kristen Pawcio of Leavittsburg; six great-grandchildren, Nicole K. Pawcio, Allison Pawcio, Matthew Pawcio, Enriko and Marlen Gavrilov, and Liel Pawcio. She also leaves many loved extended family members and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Helen was preceded in death by a sister; two brothers; and an infant great-grandson.
Calling hours will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home, with the funeral service following at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Lordstown Cemetery.
