NILES - Harold E. "Punk" Bissell, 75, of Wyoming Avenue, passed away at 6:55 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Mr. Bissell was born July 16, 1937, in Niles, the son of Harold and Ellen Whitmarsh Bissell, and was a lifetime resident.
An active member of the church, serving on the vestry, he sang in the choir. He had been employed by ITT Grinnell. He had owned and operated the City Service Full Service Gas Station with his father and uncle. He was also an AMWAY representative.

An avid NASCAR fan, he supported the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns and Indians, and enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his wife, the former Barbara J. Robison, whom he married Jan. 12, 1957; a son, David H. (Pamela) of Howland; a daughter, Debra L. (William) Danko of Aurora; four grandchildren, Stacy, Vicky, who helped care for him since his most recent surgery, Judy and Brandon; and four great-grandchildren, Zachary, Emily, Logan and Aiden.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Donald Hall officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Robert P. McDermott Memorial Home and one half-hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
