WINDHAM - Mary Sue Howes, 84, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012, at Akron City Hospital.
She was born March 24, 1928, in Sutton, W.Va., the daughter of Guy and Nettie Grace Gillespie Ellison.
She is survived by her son, John of Windham; daughters, Patricia Lovas and Deborah Cruise, both of Windham, and Donna Howes of Florida; siblings, Arthur Lee Ellison and Burnell Ellison, both of Nelson, and Betty Leu Carroll of Garrettsville, 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Howes Sr., six siblings and three grandchildren.
Calling hours are from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Garrettsville, where memorial services will follow at 3 p.m.
Burial will be in Windham Township Cemetery.
