Stambaugh Chorus seeks new members
As it prepares for its 60th season, the Stambaugh Chorus is seeking new members.
Interested singers are invited to attend a potluck dinner and rehearsal at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the ballroom at Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 Fifth Ave., Youngstown. This rehearsal is open to anyone wishing to learn more about the chorus.
The chorus' 60th anniversary season will include the first Stambaugh Hymn Festival, two performances with the Youngstown Area Community Concert Band, collaborations with the Dana Symphony Orchestra and a full performance of Karl Jenkins' ''The Armed Man.''
Station?Square Restaurant receives Wine Spectator honor
Station Square Restaurant in Liberty received Wine Spectator magazine's Award of Excellence for 2012.
The magazine annually recognizes restaurants with the top wine lists internationally. Less than one percent of the restaurants in the United States are selected for the honor.
The restaurant, 4250 Belmont Ave., is owned by Ottavio and Bridget Musumeci, who are celebrating 25 years in the community.
