YOUNGSTOWN - Jurors began hearing testimony today in the case of a man accused of killing one man and wounding 11 other people at party Feb. 6, 2011.

Opening statements and testimony from police officers who responded to the shooting at 55 Indiana Ave. took up a majority of the first day of the trial of 23-year-old Columbus Jones.

Jones is accused of killing Jamail Johnson, 25, at the party near the campus of Youngstown State University as Johnson was ushering party-goers to safety after someone began shooting.

Jones' brother is also accused of murder in the case. Police say Columbus Jones was the gunman.
