LEESBURG, Va. - Dr. Elizabeth Spahr, also remembered as Betty Spahr Del Duca, 81, passed away on Aug. 16, 2012, after a long battle with cancer.
She was born Nov. 12, 1930, and was formerly of Warren.
She is survived by two married daughters, Gretchen H. (William Sans Soucie) Del Duca of Forest, Va., and Carolyn E. (William Conrad Mohler) Del Duca of Reston, Va.

A rare and truly gifted individual, Dr. Spahr made important contributions to the improvement of many aspects of our lives, and her loss will be felt by many.
Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Road N.E., Leesburg, VA 20176, with a service to follow starting at 1 p.m.
