VIENNA - JoAnn Parish, 67, of Vienna, died Monday Aug. 20, 2012, at Hospice of The Valley Hospice House in Poland.
She was born Dec. 2, 1944, in Youngstown, the daughter of Angelo and Nina English Fusco.
She was a 1962 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. She was employed for 30 years in the personnel department at General Motors, Lordstown, retiring in 1996.

Parish
JoAnn was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles and its church choir and Parish Council, was a eucharistic minister, a member of the Mount Carmel Bereavement Ministry and was one of the organizers for the bereavement luncheons.
She was also a member of the Immaculate Conception Society and a member and past president of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Society for eight years, where she improved and updated various aspects of the club.
JoAnn was a Mount Carmel festival and pizza volunteer, baked Easter bread at the church and also volunteered at the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
She enjoyed trips with friends, trips to Vegas, gardening and cooking.
Her husband, Jacob A. Parish, whom she married May 2, 1987, died Nov. 26, 2006.
She will be deeply missed by a brother, Larry (Judy) Fusco of Howland; a sister, Laraine (Dave) Bradley of Niles; her niece, Denise (George) Rogers; her nephews, Craig Fusco and his fiancee, Alicia, and Brad (Andrea) Fusco; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Hannah, Emma, Zach and Ava.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Patty Fusco.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles, where the Immaculate Conception Society and The Our Lady of Mount Carmel Society will conduct prayers at 4:45 p.m. and the Mount Carmel Bereavement Ministry will conduct prayers at 7:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles with the Rev. John-Michael Lavelle officiating, preceded by a 9:30 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Niles City Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Team JoAnn for their love and support in the challenges she faced, the nurses and staff at the Hospice House and to visiting nurse Kim.
