Some 100 friends and family members gathered at Ciminero's in Niles on Aug. 4, 2012, to celebrate the 70th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Fleming of Warren with a Roaring '20s theme, hosted by their children.

Elsie (Sue) Giura of Youngstown and Jerry Fleming of Ravenna were married on Aug. 8, 1942, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Youngstown.

Jerry served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was employed at Taylor-Winfield Corp. as a test and service engineer until his retirement in 1998.
