YOUNGSTOWN - Luca A. DiMatteo, 80, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012.
He was born Oct. 6, 1931, in Latina di Baia, Caserta, Italy, the son of Raffaele and Maria Lorenzina Pascarella DiMatteo.
Luca taught at many schools and was a member of St. Christine Church.

Survivors include his wife, Anna DeMartinis DiMatteo; two daughters, Maria Rivera of Canfield and Adriana Hall of Chicago; two sisters, Antonietta Petrillo of Boardman and Teresa DiMatteo of Italy; a brother, Anthony DiMatteo of Boardman; and six grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Christine Church in Youngstown, preceded by a 9:15 a.m. prayer service at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home in Boardman. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Entombment will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
