A Zombie Prom is planned for Ford Family Recital Hall on Friday as a fundraiser for the Mahoning Valley March of Dimes.
The 18-and-older event will include snacks, a kitchen bar by Jeff Chrystal Catering and a cash bar. Music will be provided by DJ Dr. Benny B.
Doors will open at 7 p.m., and special effects artist Joe Glenn will be available to give attendees a zombie makeover before the prom. The Collective Paranormal Research Society will be holding raffles for prizes and will be crowned the King and Queen of the Undead.
All proceeds from the ticket sales, raffles and tips that Joe Glenn receives will go towards the Mahoning County March of Dimes. There will also be donation buckets available. The March of Dimes helps mothers have full-term pregnancies and research the problems that threaten the health of babies.
The Zombie Prom runs from 8 to 11 p.m. Friday at the recital hall at the DeYor Performing Arts Center, 260 W. Federal St., Youngs-town. Tickets are $20 at the door. For more information, email zombie_prom Ytown@yahoo.com.
