VIENNA - The Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport has received $780,000 from the U.S. Department of Transportation to aid the return of regularly scheduled passenger service.
The grant combined with a 35 percent local match means about $1.2 million that can be used to develop a revenue guarantee program to support the first year of any new service.
The grant was the fifth largest of the 33 awarded by U.S. DOT.
